Finally! Retail chains plan to stipulate in their contracts with suppliers for the next year the possibility to terminate any economic relations if their activities are somehow related to Russia. And this is bad news for those brands that still continue to work in the Russian market. These are, for example, well-known corporations – Unilever, Henkel, Vičiūnai Group, Ferrero SpA, Mondelez International, Mars, Pepsico and their products – Lay’s chips, VICI crab sticks, Jacobs coffee, Milka and Kinder chocolate, Oreo cookies, Greenfield tea, Rexona deodorant and many others.
According to a source in one of the Ukrainian retailers, a new important clause has appeared in the terms of contracts with suppliers for 2023: the possibility of suspending payment for goods by the network or terminating the contract unilaterally if the supplier sponsors the Russian Federation or any of the supplier’s legal units still operates there. This means that store shelves will be significantly emptied, because hundreds of companies have not yet left the Russian market. But to declare a boycott against them is a direct duty of everyone who is against the war in Ukraine.

І це погана новина для тих брендів, які досі продовжують працювати на російському ринку. Як повідомило джерело в одному з українських рітейлерів, в умовах договорів з постачальниками на 2023 рік з’явився новий важливий пункт: можливість призупинення оплати за товар мережею або розірвання договору в односторонньому порядку, якщо постачальник спонсорує рф або якась з юридичних одиниць постачальника там досі працює. Це означає, що полиці магазинів істотно спорожніють, адже сотні компаній так досі і не пішли з російського ринку. Але оголосити їм бойкот – це прямий обов’язок усіх, хто проти війни в Україні.
