Kherson resident Mykola Makarenko was detained on August 16 and held in a torture chamber for 17 days. He was suspected of participating in the ATO and killing local residents.

Mykola was also not given food and water for 6 days and was not allowed to sleep. However, the man still did not admit his guilt.

Мешканця Херсону Миколу Макаренка затримали 16 серпня і протримали в катівні 17 днів. Його підозрювали в тому, що він брав участь в АТО то вбивав місцевих жителів.
Допити ФСБ для нього закінчилися чотирма зламаними ребрами, щелепою і рукою та вирізаним на нозі символом Z.
💬 “Мене теж і топили, і током били – все було. Декого, хто зізнався, змушували бігати по коридору і стріляли в нього. Це було чутно нам через двері”, — розповів чоловік.
Їжу Миколі давали тричі на день, однак це були продукти низької якості, які практично неможливо було їсти. Якщо хтось не зізнавався у чомусь, що випитували окупанти, його не годували один день.
Миколі також 6 днів не давали їжі та води, а також не дозволяли спати. Однак чоловік все одно не визнав свою провину.
💬 “Якби я визнав, я б з вами не говорив. А так після 16 днів тримання вони мене трохи підрихтували, дали копняка і відпустили. 2 роки закалки в АТО все-таки зробили своє”.
