More than 30% of Ukraine’s territory is now mined – State Emergency Service of Ukraine
“The area and volume of mines on the territory of Ukraine has increased by 10 times compared to the pre-war period,” said the head of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine Sergey Kruk.
The head of the Service noted that in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions the cleaning of the de-occupied territories from explosive objects is actively going on. More than 8 thousand km² is to be demined: about 7 thousand km² – the territory of Kherson region and up to 1.5 thousand km² – of Mykolaiv region.

«Площадь и объемы заминирования территории Украины выросли в 10 раз по сравнению с довоенным периодом», – рассказал Глава ГСЧС Украины Сергей Крук.
Руководитель Службы отметил, что в Херсонской и Николаевской областях активно идет очистка деоккупированных территорий от взрывоопасных предметов. Разминированию подлежит более 8 тысяч км²: около 7 тысяч км² – территория Херсонской области и до 1,5 тысяч км² – Николаевской.
